Great size for my wetsuit and towel and shoes after a day paddling. I would buy 2 straps if I was using this for a longer trip and paddling for full days as this has 1 shoulder strap. I use it to keep in my car for my wet things to be transferred into. 40 litres is OK for me but if I am needing more than 1 wetsuit and towel I would go for bigger 45 or more.
