This cold water sexwax surf wax pack is ideal for hardcore winter surfers. The hard base coat builds texture and the cold or super sticky extra cold top coat gives you a great surf all winter long.
SexWax Base and Top Coat Surf Wax 4 Block Pack
4 block @ 85g - 1x Base/Warm Water, 1x Cold water, 2x Extra Cold water.
This pack consists of:
1x block of nice hard base coat surf wax (Quick Humps Red Label warm water wax (as recommended by Sexwax)) - this is used to build a hard textured layer of wax that won't go slick.
1x block of softer Cold Water (Quick Humps purple label) top coat. This block is used to skim over the harder textured wax layer for stickiness. You can just re-apply a light layer before each surf session. Cold water wax is used during the winter and spring when the water in the UK is cold but the air temperature is still reasonable.
2x block of Extra Cold Water (Quick Humps yellow) top coat. This X-Cold wax is the softest, stickiest surf wax Sexwax designed for when the sea in at it's Coldest. You use this in just the same way as the cold wax as described above.
Why use a base coat? Well it gives a much better texture to your wax job - particularly when you're just using softer cool water waxes that can go slick quickly. You won't have to constantly clean off this slick wax and you'll be using less wax - saving you both time and money.
It's an ideal way to deal for building up a lasting texture on a new surfboard, or get rid of the gunk on your existing board and give it some TLC.
Once you've got the base sorted you can then skim on a layer of the softer top coat. This gives a great grip.
