Medium FCS ii MF Mick Fanning template, renowned as the pinnacle of high-performance surfing and favoured by professionals worldwide, is now offered in FCS's Swiss-engineered advanced Glass Fibre Fusion (GFF) technology.
FCS II MF GFF Surfboard Fins Medium Mick Fanning
Swiss made Glass Fibre Fusion construction
Optimum weight range: 65kg - 80kg.
3 fin thruster set.
Born out of the Swiss factory (that also makes F1 racing parts etc) the FCS Mick Fanning GFF is a genuinely exciting fin (honest), not just the usual re-hash of a template in a different colour..
In basic terms it's the love child of the FCS II MF (used by most pros on the FCS team) and the H4, FCS's recent super techy offering. One of the secrets in how good this fin is, is the use of unidirectional fibreglass skin that has been laid on top of a high spec core to produce a dynamic snap back to increase speed, acceleration and control. This fin is going to be ideal for better surfers but even intermediates should be able to feel the benefits. I'd also say that although this fin set is going to be fantastic in a perfect point break the dynamics should also work great in meh beach breaks that we know and love here in the UK....
FCS blurb:
Mick Fanning’s Glass Fibre Fusion fin features Rapid Flex Recovery produced by High Tension Tip Flex. This dynamic and responsive flex pattern harnesses energy and instantly snaps back to its original shape, producing increased speed and acceleration between turns and more control during critical moments.
This Swiss-engineered construction, utilising robotic precision automation and premium materials, combines a uni-directional fiberglass skin and a 65% Short Strand Fiberglass + Resin Polymer composite base to produce a fin that’s light with exceptional strength and a responsive flex pattern. For the user this means an efficient conversion of power into acceleration, seamless rail-to-rail control at high speeds, and a feeling of connectivity between the board and fin.
The MF template is best suited to power surfers who like to snap hard and fast off the top and carve long roundhouse cutbacks. The unique rapid recovery flex will provide maximum drive and speed off the bottom and through the turning arc, lending itself high speed performance style surfing.
